Flatwater SOLO Mondays 2017

Date: Mondays June 5, 12, 19, 26

Time: 6:00 – 8:30

Max number of participants: 10

Prerequisites: Paddle Canada Intro to Lake Water Paddling (or equivalent)
paddlers need to already know: Tandem stern steering strokes (j-stroke, draws, pries)

Recommended for:  Flatwater Paddlers especially beginners or intermediates who want to join in a solo practice and coaching session.

Course Fee: $50

Location: calm water on the Rideau River, within 10 minutes of the RACCC shed

Description: This is a structured coaching/instruction session for solo paddlers who want to learn more paddling skills, get some coaching and practice in a low key, encouraging setting. We paddle rain or shine. Per your skill level, learn and develop precision canoeing techniques to paddle with more ease and finesse.

Boat Rentals: Canoe rentals are included in course registration. (Students may opt to bring their own canoes.)

Additional Details: Participants will Carpool to travel to/from our putin. Meet at the shed at 6:00 PM to organize carpooling, canoes and equipment. (Everyone helps).
