The Canadian Parks & Wilderness Society (CPAWS) Ottawa Valley Chapter invites you to come celebrate our 50th Anniversary with us!  We`d be honoured if you would join us as we celebrate our incredible history and look to the future of conservation in our region.  The Soirée will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14th in the Grand Gathering Space at the beautiful Wabano Centre at 299 Montreal Rd, Vanier.

This year's Soirée will feature a locally-sourced, Ottawa Valley inspired dinner carefully prepared by the Wabano Centre including traditional Algonquin fare, and, of course, CAKE!  You can choose between one of the following delectable main courses, a maple glazed salmon, a wild rice casserole with beef or a vegetarian / vegan option of root vegetable stew with bannock. Bar service, offering beer, wine and non-alcoholic options will also be available at a reasonable cost.

We are proud to announce Indigenous leader and educator, Gilbert Whiteduck, former Chief of Kitigan Zibi, will deliver a keynote presentation on the future of conservation in our region and beyond, with a specific focus on reconciliation, Indigenous-led conservation, and how we can work together to meet - and ideally exceed - our conservation targets.

Tickets are $75.00 per person.  You can get yours today at :

Doors open at 6 pm. but come early to mingle with other CPAWS supporters, steal a moment to chat with Mr. Whiteduck, peruse the silent auction, meet the CPAWS-OV team and learn more about our exciting work in the Ottawa Valley.   Hope to see you there.
