Flatwater Training

Private Flatwater Canoe Lessons 

Course Description: Three-hours of private lake canoeing skills coaching at any level.   Learn the basics of paddling a canoe or improve your paddling techniques or learn advanced canoeing strokes, maneuvers and boat control (find out what a canoe can do!)  Your choice.

One person
wo person (Tandem)  You need to organize your tandem lesson partner.)
Who can participate?
Ages 16 years & up and comfortable swimming in deep water while wearing a PFD.  (Minors need to have parent/guardian on site during the training)
Participants need to follow RACCC health protocols.

Location: The training location will be determined based on the weather conditions. The instructor will confirm location with the participants well prior to the lesson.

Deadline:  1 week prior to the lesson.
Cost:  RACCC Member:  $100 + HST   Non- Member: $200 + HST
(NOTE: Other costs: There may be Parking fees at the paddling site - bring coins or credit card)

Registration Deadline: Participants must register no later than one week prior to training.

Registration is done through the RA Centre's PlayRA System or by contacting RA Member Services at 613-733-5100. Please follow the directions on the site to activate your account. Please note: The course price will default to the non-member price until you get to the checkout screen. The price should then change to the member price.

Dot B. has been teaching with the club since 1990 and is a nationally certified Paddle Canada Lakewater Canoeing Instructor: Solo and Tandem, Intro-Intermediate-Advanced, and is an Instructor Trainer Candidate.
Dot also teaches Paddle Canada:  Canadian Style, Big Canoe (Voyageur Canoe) and Tripping courses.
