Paddle Canada Intermediate Solo Lake Canoeing (2024 TBD)

(Note: this course is not offered every year. It is based on interest and # of paddlers who have accomplished the prerequisites)
For those who have completed a Paddle Canada Lake Canoe Introduction Solo course and are referred by one of the RACCC Instructors. This course aims to expand solo skills and principles for greater precision, efficiency, control and confidence.  Some rescues are done by participants and strategies for hazards such as wind, waves and open waters will be included.  Be prepared to spend time solo paddling and see your skills progress.

Club canoes are provided for those who need them.
Minors require a parent or guardian to be present throughout the course.

Prerequisites:   Bill 2RACCC club member (new members welcome)
Paddle Canada Lake Canoe Introduction to Solo or ORCKA basic 4 or equivalent skills.
Age 14 and up (Minors need to have a parent/guardian on site throughout the course)

Health:  The RA Canoe Camping Club Policy on Health of Club Members must be followed.
