RACCC Canoe Tripping Skills Course

The RACCC is once again running a Tripping Skills Course at Introduction and Advanced levels.
It consists of 6 evening seminars, 1 Saturday Seminar as well as a weekend trip.

The full course is $130. The weekend trip participants share the costs of transportation, camp fees, food. (usually under $100)

For those just wishing to attend some of the Evening Seminars - you don't need to register in advance but can pay 'at the door' except for the advanced navigation sessions on May 31 and June 2 where you should call Jay to register.  The fees are $5 per evening for members and $10 for non-members with the exception being Advanced Navigation June 2: $20.  Check at the East Desk for the evening seminar room.

The individual evening seminars focus on gear, clothing, preparing food, water filtration, packing, essential map and compass and GPS skills, leadership and risk management, search and rescue basics.  For those taking more extensive trips, the Advanced Navigation with map and compass includes an evening session May 31 and day outing June 2nd.
