Algonquin Week Long Trip Report 2017
Four club members did a relaxed eight day trip in July to Algonquin Park. Starting from Canoe Lake we camped on Tom Thompson Lake, Burnt Island Lake and Otter Slide Lake. Xuan, with his detailed notes, was able to find us excellent campsites on each lake. The weather was changeable but not as wet as Ottawa. Also the wind was never a problem while we were travelling. There were black flies, mosquitoes and some deer flies at most campsites though they usually were not too bad during the day. We saw two moose while on the water, two moose back of one campsite and two moose along the road for a total of 6! Click below to look at more photos of the trip.
