Paddle to Baie Black on July 11

Paddle to Baie Black on July 11

July 11 was yet another of the many hot sunny days we have had this summer. We started from Morris Island Conservation Area and paddled across to Baie Black on the Quebec side. There was very little current perceptible doing the traverse.

Baie Black has a few cottages back in one corner but is otherwise a sanctuary of rock and pine trees with a few nice swimming rocks. On the way back, we paddled under calm conditions up to the railroad bridge and then drifted back down to the bay leading to our cars.  Thanks to Helmut for leading another nice Wednesday paddle.
